B.Sastre Painting

Vibrant oil view of a Venetian canal, with blue gondolas, bridges and brick façades reflected in the green water. It bears the signature B. Sastre and is attributed to the Majorcan painter Bartolomé Sastre, who has made Venice one of his favourite subjects. The brushwork is thick and expressive, and the colour intense. It is presented in a carved gilt frame, with the wear typical of its age. A decorative, luminous piece for collectors of Mediterranean painting.
