18th Century Oil Jar

Imposing biot-type terracotta oil jar from Provence. Its teardrop silhouette, wide rim with yellow glaze and enameled interior evoke the old oil stores of southern France. The uneven patina, worked by time, gives it great sculptural presence, whether in a garden or a living room. It shows wear consistent with its age and use. A decorative piece with character, ready to shine.
